Do Dutch citizens need a visa for Mozambique?

Dutch citizens do not need a visa for Mozambique, but must get an online travel authorisation before flying.
Visa-exempt, but register an Electronic Travel Authorisation at least 48 hours before travel. A processing fee applies. Avoid Cabo Delgado province.

How to get your Mozambique travel authorisation
- Apply on the official portal linked on this page at least a few days before you fly.
- Upload a passport photo page scan and a recent photo, then pay the fee by card.
- Save the approval email. Airlines check it at boarding.
Most African countries treat all EU passports the same way, but some do not (Mozambique and Rwanda, for example). This page uses the rule for the Netherlands.
Health requirements
Yellow fever. A yellow fever certificate is required if you arrive from, or have transited through, a country with yellow fever risk.
Malaria. Malaria is present across most of the country. Ask a travel clinic about antimalarial tablets.
Book a travel clinic visit 6 to 8 weeks before departure. Some vaccines, including yellow fever, must be given at least 10 days before you arrive.
